Pug

Hello Hello new biology students! We are Lara, Yulia and Jesse the mentors of the pugs! We will show you all the best spots in Nijmegen, places to dance & sing, where to get free coffee on campus and places you might want to avoid. It will be a week you will never forget. Fun fact, we actually started out in the same intro group back in the day, called Marigold! Jesse as an awesome mentor, and Yulia and Lara as participants. We had an unforgettable time together, and now we’re so excited to be your mentors and help create the same amazing experience for you!

A bit more about us:

Hiya, it’s me Lara, a 20 year old third year biologist following the green trajectory. I was born and raised in the lovely city of Utrecht! But traded the Dom Tower for the Waalbrug to start a new chapter in Nijmegen. You can often find me studying in the Science Library, hanging out with friends, working, or laughing with my roommates. In my free time, I love dancing to good music, thrifting, enjoying nature, and meeting new people, so don’t be shy, come say hi! I’m also an active BeeVee member and part of the photo committee DIAFRAGMA.

 

Jesse here! I’m 25 and (hopefully) starting with my master! My main interest lies in human biology and how it can be applied to health and environmental challenges. Outside of studying, I’m pretty active, I do survival run (think obstacle courses with rope climbing), play guitar, and am learning keyboard. I also enjoy woodworking whenever I get the chance. I’m excited to show you all the great sides of studying biology at Radboud and help kick off your journey here!

Yooo :) I’m Yulia, a second-year biology student from the green and forest-filled land of Latvia. I’m a big fan of games, runs in the Goffertpark and cozy café hangouts with coffee and cookies. I love the medical side of biology (tiny cells = big fascination!) and evolutionary biology too. I’m active in BeeVee and part of the VACUOLES committee, where I help organize events and design posters!
