Jellyfish

Hello and welcome to the wonderful intro group of Jellyfish! We are your mentors Renske, Erwin and Františka and we are very excited to meet you all this Orientation Week 2025. We hope this week gives you the right start to university and student life here in Nijmegen and gets you excited about studying Biology at Radboud. Here’s to a week full of fun and great memories ;)

Hello my lovely Jellyfish polyps! I am Renske and I'll be one of your introparents this year for the lovely orientation week!!! I am 22 years old and a third-year biologist who is obsessed with Flixbus. I come from the beautiful town of Broek op Langedijk (now very famous for its feature in Spiderman) right at the opposite side of the Netherlands. When I'm not studying I enjoy listening to music (preferably 80s/90s). I also love to be outside, I love traveling and hiking but I am not scared of playing some games in a pub or a party (and maybe even dancing a little). But that is enough said about me, I'm already excited to get to know you guys and show you around this beautiful city and show you that studying in Nijmegen is more than just studying :)

Salutations sea creatures!! My name's Erwin, I’m half Dutch half English and I'll be another one of your intro parents during the orientation week :). I'm a 21 year old, third year biologist from the not so sunny town of Burton Upon Trent, England. My hobbies include bouldering, herping, drinking, getting milk, blacksmithing and many more things. I'm also partial to lovely hikes here and there and enjoy spending as much time outside catching frogs, bugs and any other creepy crawlies. Nijmegen has been a wonderful place to live as there are plenty of pubs, bars and music venues to visit. Not much else springs to mind to say about myself, So I look forward to meeting you all and showing you around during the orientation week.

Hello my little Jellies! I’m Františka and, despite my appearance, I am in fact not Dutch. I’m Slovakian from Ireland and a 22 year-old third-year Biology student. When I’m not dying in the library or getting my 6th coffee of the day in wing 5, you can probably find me in the Sports Centre playing volleyball, climbing or just in the gym. I also love spending time with my friends, partying in the city centre, doing movie nights and dinners, bonfires on the WaalBeach and travelling. I have absolutely loved my first three years here in Nijmegen and I hope I can help you find your place here too, wherever you may come from :)
