Earthworm

Hello our dearest earthworms! Are you guys ready to wiggle your way into uni life? We are Paul, Iskra and Rafi, your mentors who are very excited to welcome and meet you during the orientation week! We hope you guys are ready to meet your fellow participants, explore the city, get a feel for student life and most of all have fun together. We will make sure this intro will be amazing and that all of you hatchlings (baby earthworm) can have the time of your life.

Now onto introducing ourselves:

Hello hello earthworms! My name is Rafi and  I’m a second year biology student. I’m 20 years old and from a town called Beek en Donk near Eindhoven. I’m always down to hang out with friends, doesn’t matter if it’s in the park, going out in the city center or just in someone's room. I also like to work out, I enjoy going to the gym, bouldering and doing MMA which is a combination of different martial arts where I also do competitions for. I’m also very active in BeeVee, I’m in DIAFRAGMA, SPIn and FYC. DIAFRAGMA is the photo and video committee that makes sure all of your best memories are well documented for you to look back on. SPIn is the committee that manages the BeeVee website, and FYC is the first year committee. Besides being active in these I also enjoy going to activities from other committees. When I’m not doing any of this you can find me in my room relaxing and enjoying some good music. My biological interest is human biology, but I'm not exactly sure what specific part I would like to study. Luckily I have an amazing orientation week and group to look forward to instead of worrying about it! See you all soon!!!

Hey there dear hatchlings! I am Paul and I am 20 years old. You might hear in orientation week some people refer to me as the Beast from the East, as I was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. I am your only ‘proper’ international Earthworm mentor. I've been living in the Netherlands for around 2 years now and am enjoying every rainy day and loving the sun every time it dares to peek through. One thing that’s gonna become clear about myself is that I’m a big allround sports fan, so if you want to come let me know what you play or what you’re interested in, by all means, do that!! Because of this passion I also didn’t hesitate to apply for the best committee BeeVee has to offer… ATP!!! ATP is the sports committee, which throughout the year organises events that range from clinics, to tournaments, all the way to the largest relay race in the world. The most important take away I have for you is to not forget to get in contact with any of us, during orientation we’ll all be reachable and up to your disposal. I am super excited to see you guys in intro!!

Hi wormlets! My name is Iskra. I am eighteen years old and also a second-year biologist. I am half Bulgarian but I was born in Maastricht and have lived most of my life in Eindhoven. I enjoy spending my free time with friends on for example the waalbeach or park and having family dinners, but also end up a lot of the time chilling at home with some music or a nice show to watch. I love driving too fast and with loud music, reading and I used to do horse riding and tennis. BeeVee has a lot of committees that organize fun activities in which I like to participate as well. I am part of FYC (the first-year committee) but won’t be for much longer, so I as well will be looking for another committee. In biology there are so many different roads you can take, which is great if you are unsure about your topic of interest.  I am not so sure myself what path in biology I’m going to take, but it might be neuro. In biology there is something for everybody. I had a really good time during my intro, where I met most of my current friends and I would like to give you guys the best experience possible as well. You can always contact me, Paul and Rafi. I’m excited to meet you all!!!

See you all soon!

Warm regards from your earthworm family,

Paul, Rafi & Iskra
