Aracari

Hello dear participants, welcome to the intro group of the Aracari’s! We are Lotte, Teun and Ari and we will be your intro mentors this year. We hope that this week will give a beautiful start to your student life here in Nijmegen. But first, let’s introduce ourselves.

Hiiiii, my lovely Aracari’s! I’m Lotte, 21 years old, a third-year biologist and very excited to be your mentor for the Biology orientation of 2026. I have a preference for human biology with some interest in forensic stuff too. Next to biology, I love reading, playing badminton, chilling on the Waalbeach and spending time with my friends. I can’t describe how much I’m looking forward to this adventure and I hope you are too!

Helloooo!!! My name is Teun van Ruijmbeke (or Tony is also fine). I am a second year biology student and I will be one of your mentors during the Biology orientation! Whooohoooooo! A little bit about me: I was born in a little Dutch town named Hedel, which lies next to Den Bosch. I will be 22 years old during the intro, my hobbies are running, drinking beer and looking dumb. I am more interested in the medical side of biology. I’m really looking forward to meeting you and getting to know you!

Hello future aracaris! I will be one of your mentors for the orientation week. My name is Ari, I’m 21 years old and just finished my third-year bachelor. My family and passport are German but I grew up in The Hague before moving to Nijmegen for uni. I am a weird mix of Neuro and Ecology biologist and in my free time I like to go bird watching. My hobbies also include a lot of reading, creative projects and hanging out with my friends which often includes us playing (drinking) games. I can’t wait to see all of you and have a great week!
