The first year of BeeVee was a year of "trial & error." With the Academic bookstore in Nijmegen of the time a favorable deal was struck for the purchase of books. The dictation committee created beatiful illustated dictations from the notes of fellow students. These could then be printed using a copying or duplicator machine. The first foreign excursion went to Paris and the yearly symposium was about evolution. The old "Doornroosje"  exploded every time BeeVee held a party. All the activities were described vividely in the Motje; the mouthpiece of BeeVee. Actually, there were no "errors"; It was a great succes

Het eerste jaar van de BeeVee was vooral een jaar van “trial & error”. Met de toenmalige Academische Boekhandel in Nijmegen werd een gunstig contract afgesloten voor de inkoop van boeken. De dictatencommissie stelde fraai geïllustreerde dictaten samen uit de aantekeningen van medestudenten die vervolgens met een stencil- of kopieerapparaat werden gedrukt. De eerste buitenlandse excursie ging naar Parijs en de jaarlijkse lezing ging over evolutie. En het oude Doornroosje explodeerde als de BeeVee weer eens een feest organiseerde. Al die activiteiten werden levendig beschreven in Motje; spreekbuis van de BeeVee. Eigenlijk waren er geen “errors”; het was één groot succes.
