Biology Orientation Committee
As the Biology Orientation Committee, we organise the awesome yearly orientation for Biology. This week of fun is always a great success and this year won't be different! During this orientation week you, as a first year student of Biology, will become acquainted with the study programme, the city of Nijmegen and of course the student’s life. Expect a week filled with parties, fun daily activities and of course a load of new people to meet! If you have any questions about the orientation week of Biology, please feel free to contact us by sending a message to Biology.BOC@gmail.com. We will of course try to answer your questions as fast as possible!

Now that you know what we look like, let us introduce ourselves!
Hello dear readers, I am Ivo Kesseler and the current chairman of BOC 2026! I'm 21 years young and am from a beautiful village called Gemert (somewhere near Eindhoven). I'm a third year Biologist following the neuro/human biology pathway. You can often find me studying in the library of science, or chilling with friends in Gigabyte! Outside of uni you can see me enjoying craft beers on the terrace, doing any sports as a proud ATP’er, or playing mario kart with my fellow SPInners. I am already looking forward to an(other) unforgettable orientation week with all of my fellow BOCcies, the mentors, and of course the participants!
Hi there! I am Zara Vonk, the secretary of BOC 2026! I am 22 years old and grew up in Utrecht. I am a third year biologist following the ecology/adaptation and physiology trajectories here at Radboud. I love to go outside and let my inner Freek Vonk free by exploring nature with its beautiful plants and animals! Next to biology, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and love to make music. You can also always find me at the amazing borrels of BeeVee, as I'm a proud member of our borrel committee PRAC. I am looking forward to this year's orientation committee and can’t wait to create new memories with everyone involved!!
Hello, I’m Max and I am the current treasurer of BOC!!! I am 21 years old, and a 4th year biologist interested in the field of ecology. Besides that I am part of the borrel committee named PRAC where we organise the best borrels of the faculty, where it is always gezellig. Maastricht is my home town, which is in the south of the Netherlands. Besides studying I like to do other stuff as well, such as bouldering, fishing, being outside, and listening to music. And with that being said I am looking forward to the 2026 orientation!!!

Hey there! I am Theun Braam and I am a general member of BOC! I am currently 20 years old and in my second year of biology. I come from Bunde, a fun village near Maastricht but currently living my student life here in Nijmegen. In my free time I'm often playing sports. Going to the gym and running are my favourite while listening to some good rock music. Besides sports I also love meeting up with friends! Playing games, drinking a beer on a terrace or having dinners and movie nights together. I am also a proud member of PRAC, the borrel committee of BeeVee which is a lot of fun.
